Hi, I’m Jason Silverberg. I’m a financial planner. I started my Financial Planning practice back in 2005 with a mission to serve as many people as I can to help them become the best versions of themselves. 

By addressing the fear, anxieties, and unknowns around your money, you can focus your time and energy on what matters most. I strive to help my clients create a brighter future by helping them understand the nuances of their personal financial life.

Everyone’s situation is unique and everyone has a story to share. Money means different things to different people. Through my customized financial planning process, I listen and learn about your background, values, and vision of your financial future. From there, we create your personalized financial plan, which dives into the “why” behind the numbers. The plan can be a helpful guide through life’s twists and turns. With proper execution and consistent check-ins, it can help you in achieving your definition of an abundant and impactful financial life.

I know firsthand how money can impact a family and a business. At the age of 13, I had my Bar-Mitzvah. This monumental occasion represents a Jewish boy’s journey into manhood. It was a turning point in my childhood.

The eventful day came and went and my loved ones were generous with their gifts. My parents helped me invest the money that I received into the markets. I actually made enough money to buy my first car. This fueled my passion for helping people navigate the financial markets while also pursuing financial goals. 

Now, as a Financial Planner, I embrace your financial goals with passion and vigor. Whether that’s giving you the confidence to retire without the worry of outliving your money or providing your children or grandchildren with a college education or even just helping you to organize your finances so that you know where everything is and access it as necessary. I’m confident that we can work together to create a plan to help you become financially independent.

All my experiences have shaped who I am today. As a parent of two children, Joshua and Rebecca, I teach them about the positive ways money can impact your life if treated properly. I’ve learned a lot and still have a lot to learn. I’m looking forward to giving them, and you, the same gift that my parents gave me. The gift of a financial education.

Jeanie Dow

Executive Assistant

As Jason's Executive Assistant, Jeanie’s role on our team is to support and coordinate the systems and procedures necessary to secure each client’s needs are met throughout the financial planning process.  Maintaining client relations is a top priority for Jeanie.

She joins our team with 17 years experience as the Executive Assistant to the CEO of a non-profit in Washington, DC.

Nicole Harrison

Paraplanner

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional, Nicole helps Jason and the team develop comprehensive financial plans to provide tailored and strategic advice to their clients. Her independent role provides an opportunity for an objective, analytical view of a client's financial position. Because Nicole's primary responsibility is the development of financial plans, the team is able to devote substantial time and attention to each unique analysis.

A graduate from the University of Maryland, Nicole also brings over ten years of fee-based financial planning experience to the team. She is also a founding member of the Prince George's County Collaborative Professional Association, and volunteers on the Board of Directors for The Collaborative Project of Maryland; two organizations which help facilitate positive outcomes for families going through divorce and separation.

Nicole holds the following series 7 and 66 securities registrations, as well as the Life and Health insurance licenses. She is a resident of Silver Spring, and a native Marylander. Her favorite pastimes include spending time with her family and friends and taking road trips on her motorcycle.

Lindsay Carter

Tax Director

Lindsay joined the team as the in-house Tax Consultant in December 2014, after a successful four years in Public Accounting. She offers quality income tax preparation to the community, as well as helping the team identify tax minimizing strategies for our clients. Lindsay is known for being personable and dependable in representing, advising, informing and assisting clients with tax-related matters.

Lindsay joined the team as a result of her interest in working with individuals and families on their retirement, trust and estate planning goals. She received her Bachelors in Business Administration with a degree in Accounting from Florida Atlantic University - Go Owls!

Lindsay lives with her husband Nick and their adorable dog Moose in Poolesville, Maryland. In her spare time, she enjoys horseback riding, traveling, any activity outdoors and following her favorite local sports teams.

He focuses on helping clients achieve their goals by growing their wealth through intelligent investing and protecting those goals using risk management strategies and insurance solutions.

Jason graduated from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland in 2005 with a degree in Finance. He is a CFP® (Certified Financial Planner) professional and has received his RICP® (Retirement Income Certified Professional), CLU® (Chartered Life Underwriter), and ChFC® (Chartered Financial Consultant) designations from The American College. He is a 2014-2018 member of the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT)^ The Premier Association of Financial Professionals®. This level of education, recognition, and credentials shows that he is committed to serving his clients with exemplary performance and high standards of professional knowledge.

In addition to his work, Jason spends his leisure time with his wife, Lindsay, and children, Joshua and Rebecca. He enjoys running outside and in competitive races. He completed the Frederick Marathon in 2010 and participates in the Kentlands/Lakelands 5K each year.
